By The Way Guesthouse in Clarens was a delightful stay. We were impressed by the warm welcome and excellent service provided by the staff, especially Amy who went the extra mile to make our stay memorable. The room was cosy and comfortable, with plenty of natural light and fresh air. We loved the view from the room and the delicious breakfasts, which were served in bed and catered to our vegetarian diet. The location of the guesthouse was ideal, just outside of the main square, offering beautiful scenery and a peaceful atmosphere. it was a great value for money and we highly recommend this place for a truly South African experience.

I keep choosing this place every time. The staff is helpful; they even gave me directions on my first stay. It has everything I need: free Wi-Fi, free parking, welcome drink, coffee shop, picnic area. Definitely coming back for holiday.

The hotel was an interesting place for enjoying a secure area, very close to onsite cafe' and the center of the pretty and very popular village of Clarens. The staff was responsive & very competent. This place was ideal for what we needed, 100% recommend.

I had a great stay at a lovely guesthouse on the edge of town. The hostess and her crew were warm and welcoming, even lighting a fire in my room to keep me cozy. The food was delicious, with a mouthwatering beef lasagna for dinner and a bountiful breakfast delivered right to my room. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a kitchenette and ensuite bathroom. The wifi signal was strong, and I felt safe with the secure parking. I highly recommend this guesthouse for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

We had a fantastic stay in a lovely establishment located in the heart of town. The central location meant that we were able to walk to everything including the town square which was just a stone's throw away. The onsite cafe' was a welcome perk and the breakfast was tasty and filling. Our room was spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction throughout our stay.

We did experience some noise from the surrounding bars late into the night.

There were instances of noise disturbance from the courtyard during the afternoon, which made it challenging to have a peaceful afternoon sleep. the occasional occurrence of load-shedding disrupted local businesses, causing inconvenience.

As a senior woman, I appreciated the hotel's accessibility, with easy access ramps and spacious hallways that made it convenient for me to move around comfortably.

The only thing I would ask for is a wider variety of activities specifically catered towards senior guests. It would have been nice to have more options available for us to enjoy during our stay.
